I'm looking for a little help from those of you that put together your own home brew recipes.
My local nano-brewery brewmaster kicked down some specialty malts to me last week. They just did a Scottish Ale and a Milk Stout, so I'm thinking these are left overs from one of those.
1lb of Briess 50L Special Roast Malt
1.25lb of Victory Malt
.75lb of Crystal 120L Malt
.5lb of Caramunich Malt
So what do I make? Everything I brew comes from brew kits. I do partial mash extract brewing. These malts scream brown ale, maybe a Scottish ale.
My thoughts for a 5 gallon recipe -
.5lb of Special Roast
.75lb of Victory
.75lb of Crystal 120L
7lb liquid malt extraact
3 dry malt extract
2oz East Kent Golding bittering
2oz East Kent Golding aroma
Wyeast 1028 London Ale yeast
My guess would be around 1.090 OG
What do you think? Add in some chocolate malt? Different hop suggestions?
