Best Liquor Ever!! (Cachaca)
most people in the US never heard of it (and for those calling me a troll---whatever the fuk that is, here is a pic for you--I've been drinking this stuff for 5 years exclusively)----
it is made from pure cane sugar and aged in Cognac flasks from France.
my brand just about won every award (see here)--

here is how you make THE DRINK itself..

here is how you make the 5 second quick version just to taste it-
Five Second Caipirinha Recipe - Leblon Cachaça and Caipirinhas | Leblon Cachaça
---And also the real way to make it is to make your own fresh simple syrup..
This is actually now the 2nd most consumed liquor in the planet (behind vodka)---was #3, but is now #2.. Unless you traveled to South America no one has ever even heard of this liquor..
It is also the only spirit on the planet that can be used for all 7 based liquors (see the recipes on the top 50 drinks on the planet, all using cachaca...)-----
So time for you snobs to get educated!!---EVEN though that is a nice Single malt thread here (so some folks do know something)----even it if aint about Magic Hat #9
Been a few time to Brazil for windsurfing… Caipirinha on the beach in Jericoacoara, doesn't get any better than this. Maybe a fat bike to ride the sand-dune after a day on the water
Its Amazing that none of the bars here know about this spirit..
there was only one bar in Philly that had this a few years ago (it was listed on the Leblon website..)
Haven't had it but I assume it is better than #9, your other favorite. Although I prefer beer the Caipirinha does look like a good cocktail to have on the beach.
Not even the best liquor evah can compare to Magic Hat's #9. All your friends from L.A. to Philly know better.
Caipirinha's are pretty popular here in the Bay Area - it was definitely a new spirit to me as of a few years ago. Great stuff, and pairs well with oysters and steak alike!
Looks pretty good.
Seems like hangover city to me though--ingredients: sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar, and limes.
that is where I discovered it!!
one would think?? but I always have 2-3 when I drink them (nice size glasses also) and have always had the better part of the bottle with never a hangover (and I make my own simple syrup..)
all the 'whino' (hobo) wines are all sugar (Night Train, Mad Dog 20/20)--
here is a little history lesson on these wines: and these 'tear your system up!!'
This here is a great read on the history of each wine (cause I drank these before and had no idea of each wines history)

Looks like rum to me.
With all these posts and threads about spirits other than beer, maybe this forum should be re-named the 'Ethanol' forum......
Beer contains ethanol. Better stick with "spirits."

Best? Not until you've had great bourbon. Don't need no mixer. Just a glass and a splash of water.
True, True... I have been drinking Makers Mark for Years (and had they dropped the alcohol content I would have been very upset..)

even with my 'Rusty Nail' I only use Makers Mark Bourbon...
I no longer even have a Canadian Whiskey (Crown Royal) in my new bar. Everyone tells me I also need a good rye whiskey (want to try that Al Capone brand, his favorite brand.)
And I am still kind of a NOOB to good bourbon (don't know anything other than the top 3-4 brands and Makers Mark really...)
