Any Bud Light Platinum fans here

Introduced to Bud Light Platinum 4 months ago...love this beer. So, who's had it and what are your thoughts (if you haven't had it, it's worth trying...not typical bud...primarily because of the 6% alcohol content but also goes down very smooth).

It tastes like watery bud light/nothing, but it gets you drunk. Not really a beer I crack open to enjoy, but you'll catch a buzz off it.

Drink what you like...if you do it for flavor, and respect others tastes differ, doesn't make you a beer snob....just means you have bad taste (Jk)

I hate bud generally, but bud platinum is awesome with Cajun boiled peanuts by the pool.

I don't hate Bud...but it certainly is nt n my top 5's. It's definitely a headache beer...headache, bud mud, etc. But, platinum is different. I was reluctant at first because it's Bud....and I don't usually buy bud. However, I love the ****. Gonna have to try the Cajun boiled peanuts with them...but even without it works well to get your drunk on! My only issue is they go down too easy/fast. I kill a 12 pack in 3 to 4 hrs alone...and am pretty tipsy ( but happy as hell!)

I prefer Coors Banquet to Bud. I did have a bud platinum about a month ago at a dive bar, and it was smooth for a 6% beer. Tasted very similar to regular bud. Don't think I will order it again, but not a horrible beer.

Side note: I really think its just popular to refer to Bud and Coors as "Horse Piss". In reality they are almost perfect examples of the style they represent, and have outstanding quality control and smoothness. Ya Ya the companies are huge, and rather bullish, but the beer is not as bad as they get a rep for from beer nerds.

I didn't mind Budweiser that much as a last resort beer but the new "Made in America" campaign rubs me the wrong way. It should have a disclaimer stating profits go overseas. I lost a lot of respect when Budweiser sold out to InBev. Sorry for the unrelated rant.

Budweiser has always been way too carbonated for me...good for belching frat boys, bad for a good summer beer.

When it comes to an easy drinking beer, nothing beats a cold Session. Oregon brewed, employee owned!

If I have to drink an American adjunct lager, I'd prefer corn over rice any day.

The Platinum doesn't really impress me versus the standard 'Light'.

Not sure why but the blue bottle seems odd to me. What is up with that blue bottle? Now that I think of it if I was in the demographics out clubbing and had a Bud Platinum I would get 2.5% more lucky that night. Yes, that is what the blue bottle is about. Great, now I am "that guy" that yells at kids to "get off my lawn." Damn kids and their blue bottles of beer........................

on the BL Platinum. Compared to all the other american and even mexican lagers out there, I would rate it near the top... Its even better than Corona -- which is really about the same as a Coors.

I would not compare it to any craft beer, real imported beer (which does not include most of the mexican swill) but its pretty good ice cold and even better with a lime in it. The blue bottle is cool, and the stuff gets you hammered quicker... whats not to like?

Used to love Bud Ice, but maybe just because I was 17 and hadn't tasted many beers. I tend to drink Bud only when it's the only thing available - I like pretty much every American beer brand (Coors, Michelob, Miller) better. Sounds like I'll have to try the Platinum and see which camp I'm in.

Is it Bud-cheap or did they jack the price up to import levels because of the "Platinum" label?

I try no to hate on all the macros, but bud ice is some of the worst. It basically is a bud ice made with pool water I think! All i seem to taste in it is alcohol and chlorine.

Not a fan. Had some on vacation a few weeks ago sitting on the beach. Got pretty buzzed off a few...certainly can tell the higher alc content. Just don't think it tastes that great..but then again, I drink Coors Light so what do I know
