30 beers on tap!
And Growler fills!
All at my local gas station!
It's nice to live in Bend
-
Nice! We have a gas station that does fills here but they don't have 30 beers. That's awesome!
-
thats cool, if california changed their laws i would be able to use all my growlers. But for now they are just collecting dust, as a collection....

Why can't you use them? I've filled several growlers at various places in California. Although I don't recall ever seeing a bar in a gas station...

I think there was a full thread on this recently. You can only use growlers that are from that brewery specifically (labelled), breweries can not fill growlers that are not specifically theirs.

They have Hop Venom on tap. Definitely the best gas station around. Plus, the employees do the old-school uniform thing and the service there is excellent.

Unbelievable.......growlers fills for $9!
Yeah, the gas station thingy's cool too.

Holy hell. That is awesome. I was thinking about moving to not here. Bend just made the short list. Though in all likelyhood it's going to be Asheville.
Hutch is innocent. So is the Lizard! Free them!

I was in portland for a year, It was awesome seeing local craft beers at gas stations.
-
Yeah, but you still can't pump your own gas there
Growlers are great, I just wish that the laws in CO allowed them to be more versatile.
-
They now have their own website!
The Growler Guys
Their current tap list looks mighty fine; quite Bend-centric, which is okay by me. Some other goodies on there, too.
I really like the cider and sangria growler pours they offer.

That Klamath Basin Vanilla Porter on tap right now is a great beer.

It's a truly great idea because as everyone knows, beer on draft, gasoline handling and driving are one awesome combo! Right Axe?
-
Can we get growlers filled there without leaving the car?
Like drive-up menus at the pumps?

You cannot pump your own gasoline in Oregon.

That would be awesome - like the drive-through liquor stores in Arizona. Sadly, you have to get the growlers inside.

As mentioned, Oregon is one of two states with full service only gas stations.
And, umm, why assume the temptation to drive while hoisting a heavy growler to ones lips is greater than popping the tab on a few cans bought at a grocery store??
The cluelessness of some never ceases to amaze.

Great, they seem to be right on the cutting edge of things in Oregon just like New Jersey.

So those beer taps are used only on a "to go" basis with growlers? No consuming while you gas up the old SUV on some crazy Oregonian last chance power drive? I apologize then, I guess I am clueless, but thanks for being such a sensitive lil' b*tch about a jest though.
