Stupid law in Maryland prevents me from being able to fill growlers of beer anywhere except places that brew on the premises. Which sucks because there's a Dogfish Head about 2 miles from my house. And word on the street is that one of the only places around here where I can actually get my growlers filled will be closing their doors soon. Dagger!!

Apparently those guys are selling more draft beer than anybody else in town. The car wash on the north end of town on Empire is starting to do the same thing as well. It's only a matter of time before they are every where.

Kind of ironic that Deschutes County has the highest DUI arrest rates in OR. Between the Bend Ale Trail, Cyclepub and the Growler filling station I can't imagine why this is.

    Yep.

I just filled my growler with Hop Trip, not quite three hours ago.

Just a FYI. If you get a DUI on a bicycle in OR, they can take your drivers license away as well. It doesn't make sense but that's the way it is.

You'd have to be pretty damned, sloppy drunk to actually be 1) noticed, and 2) ticketed while biking under the influence.

A gas station that has beers on tap... I need to move to your city! I could fill up my car and my belly at the same time, lol.

Not really "beers on tap", per se. Growlers on tap!

OK, looks like they've opened a Pandora's Box.

    Growler fills all over Bend!

    Will this lead to over-saturation??

    Not being a wise guy.

    But what is the difference?

From what I can gather a Growler is a type of jug/receptacle that is used for carrying beer.

The original statement stands. When the "tap" is pulled a jug does not fall out, beer does.

Again, not being a wise guy as we don't have these in Australia. Growler has a WHOLE different meaning down here.
