    Rune/Spitfire - Clearance with 1x10 and 30T or 28T?

Looking for a straight answer on the frame clearance when running either a 28 or 30T chainring with a 1x10 set-up? Full cassette range? Short-cage derailleur okay?

And how does it climb with the smaller chainrings?

Not specific to your question, but I just set my new Rune up 1x10 with a 32T and mid-cage derailleur. With the dropped chainstay and a smaller chainring I would speculate a mid cage would give better clearance. Always been happy using short cage derailleurs on previous bikes, but quite happy with Sram X9 type 2 mid cage I just put on the Rune...

Hey in the trees, you looking at possibly getting a Spitty or Rune?

I've run both size rings with my XX1 and no issues what so ever. Banshee's VPP is outstanding and works awesome in our terrain. Can't tell you how happy I am with how this thing climbs crap and rides through boulder gardens. Feels more than 140mm to me and very efficient pedaling. That's a North Shore Billet spider/bash combo on my XX1 crank. Yes, I've managed to hit it already even though it's a small 30T guard.
