PLEASE HELP- 2009 Banshee Morphine Through Axel

I'm asking this question for my little brother who is currently in his 3rd phase of training in the US Marine Corps. Before he left for boot camp he purchased a 2009 Banshee Morphine frame and isnt sure if he wants it anymore. The reason being is that he thinks the Morphine can only accommodate a 10mm rear through axle. Is this true? And if so, is it possible to make it work with a 20 or 25 mm through axle? All of the wheelsets he wants are either 20 or 25 mm.

    Thanks for any help!

25mm thru axle? thats not a common standard. and 20mm thru axles are only for the front wheel, so that just depends on the fork you are running.

the only common standards of rear hub are 10mm, 12mm and 14mm (14mm is really a BMX standard to fit pegs). The majority of rear hubs are 10mm, and these can be plenty strong if that is what he is worried about.

Good luck to your bro regarding the marines.

Awesome, thanks for your reply- I just gave him a call and he was very happy to hear that and can't wait to build the bike when he gets home.

    Thanks again.
