    Newbie Pyre Pivot Question...

    Hi Guys,

Have bought a Pyre MkII frame (I think? from reading here Mk1 would be bearing pivots, is that right?), in really good condition but after a few months I had a lot of bottom pivot wear. Have now removed and found bushings are completely shagged, and the pivot axles have lots a wear. I cannot find spares listed anywhere for the Pyre? I know its 4 years old, but nothing anywhere - really!?
I have read within other posts about getting bushings direct from 'igus', and I await a response to emailing them, but I really need new pivot axles as well!
Where in the UK (or the world for that matter) can I get new axles?
Any ideas, please I need help - bike of the trails until I get source spares!?
Thanks - great forum by the way, and I love my Banshee!!!

Can I also add to this post:

Perhaps the Pyre pivot axles are the same as the Rune or other model - which I have seen for sale? Can I just check the specs please?
    Cheers

I'm afraid that the main pivot axles are not the same as the rune or spitfire (all others are the same). You should contact our distributor ISON and ask if they have pivot kits for the Pyre MkII, they are pretty good at stocking spare parts. It is probably worth mentioning to them that it is not the same main pivot axle kit as the spitfire or rune just to make sure yu don't get the wrong kit.

Thanks, that's great info. Do you mean that some of the other pivot axles are the same?
I will contact them and let you know how I get on.
    Thanks again.

All the other pivot hardwear is shared with the rune V1 and spitfire V1 except for the main pivot axle whixh is a larger diameter on the Pyre MkII.
