the thing is that i need to clime up.... always! in one hand on the other hand... fox claim that the steerer hight is not affecting by the 170 mm travel so the bike will stay with its original head angel....

secound questain 170mm cranck or 175mm?

A 170mm fork with 650b wheels and the inherit already slack nature of the Rune is gonna make for a really choppered out rig. I have mine in the low setting with a 160mm fork and I do not think 10mm would add much in terms of performance. Not to mention futzing some of its climbing ability up. If you are gonna run 26" wheels then have at it.

Meanwhile, if you run the bike in the low setting (like pretty much everyone does) you will minimize your invariable pedal strikes with shorter cranks.

the going won't get good 'til I'm good and gone

The rune is a DH ripper. kS link bikes paired with the right shock have rear suspension which is unbelievably plush, so it's nice to have some extra squish up front to try and match the rear suspension. And like you said, the new 2015 fox 36 has roughly 10 mm less A2C height than comparable forks like the pike or lyrik.

I'm a kind of rider that hate to climb it's just a thing you
Have to do to get down .. How ever 170 reminds me. My first
Kona with 170 super t... And I want to keep the
    Bike with uphill efficiency
One bike do it all kind of but with no limits

I run 180mm on my Rune.

No regrets. Climbs well, descents well. I could not be happier.
