    2012 Scythe

What is new about the 2012 Scythe's?

Any design updates or is it just color changes? And what colors will be available.

looks like black ano and raw with clear coat are the only options.

they still didn't do a floating rear brake option? shame.

I think the last changes where last years, longer lower rocker mount/ brace that connects to the seattube. but keep in mind Banshee doesn't always stick to the lame 2011/ 2012/ 2013 year model runs, if they see a change needed they will do so anytime of the year. but other than colours and the lacking floating rear brake option(IMHO) the Scythe doesn't need to be changed

Begs the question why would you want one?
All they do is interfere with the action of the suspension when you brake, Kona abandoned them because of it.

The 4 bar linkage also behaves unnormal under (heavy) braking, thought it would make for a nice upgrade as compared to other Scythe alternatives. Transitions Blindside springs to mind quickly. Granted I must say I don't really feel this effect on every track or every corner, but it's there.

The Scythe has always been designed as a freeride sled, it was never designed with all mountain riding in mind really, although it is great that some people use it for that. the scythe is very freeride friendly... and has been raced to top 30 at worldcup DH. Dustin is ripping on his in this vid...
