I'd go for the deal! Not aware of any potential changes (aside from colors, possibly stealth routing, and maybe replacing the DT gusset with a hydroformed DT?) All pretty minor tweaks, and the '13 production frame rips- I love mine. Get some!

I like the welded gusset anyway. The Prime is industrial looking. Hydroforming doesn't mesh with the style IMHO.

Even if you have to rob a bank. Riding the Pike for just one afternoon will make the 20-30 years in prison sooo worth it.

Not floppy, when the fellas in the joint find out he's sporting a Prime with a CCDBair/Pike combo, he'll be the king of the cell block.

Seriously, dlc, if you can get your F34 tuned to your shock, good for you. I couldn't. But a Pike, once dialed in, is a nearly perfect compliment to your shock. IMO. Almost like CC themselves built it.

Well I rode a prime with a 150 pike and a DBa today....
    Bad Idea. Perfect combo.

My main problem with the fox is it never felt in tune with the DB. Loved the fork when I was running a fox shock the when I got my DB tuned on my Sultan I was like wtf happed to my fork. Thought someone had messesed with my tune on it. The pike is deffenitly a better fork all around than the fox. Now lets see how reliable it is.

Take a look at the X-Fusion TRACE, also a very nice fork, for a lot less $$ than either the F34 or Pike. Waiting to hear thoughts from a few who have the Pike and also now got the Trace, very interested to hear their thoughts.

Personally on your thought pattern on parts to get, I don't agree. If it was a choice between the Pike and XX1, not even a close decision, just don't get the big deal of 1x, never had an issue dropping the chain on my Prime running 2x setup with just an FD and then you've got a wide range of gears and a lot of $$ left in the bank

I also have yet to drop my chain running 2x, no chain guide of any sort, and a plain old X9 rear mech, no clutch.

Well the 13' is one the way. Talked to Cain Creek Monday. They should have me a climb switch double barrel with the xV can in two weeks. Pretty pumped. Now I just have to figure out how to remove all the white graphics.
