    Silvan Ride Monday 27th December

For all those interested, there'll be a ride at Silvan on Monday morning. Meeting at Cog Bike Cafe at 8am. The ride will be approximately 3 hours or so. It won't be a fast paced ride, more of a social ride, so those with kids who are confident on singletrack with a bit of climbing are more than welcome.

Cog Bike Cafe won't be open Monday (or until the 6th Jan actually) so plan appropriately for food and drink.

For those who find that they've still got a bit of energy left in the tank after Silvan, we'll do much the same as last year, and grab something to eat from Mount Evelyn shops and then head out to the new stuff.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

It won't be the same mate. Cheers. At least you've got a white Christmas.

I'll be there. I missed last Thursday's end of year Cog Ride + pizza, so this will go some way towards making up for that.

Tracks are in FABULOUS condition at the moment. There's also a new track to try out.

Yeah! Good ride! Pity about the weather, and for cutting out but good to be out anyway. And thanks for letting me tag along with your 29er cult.
    Next time.... Thanks guys!

OMG Steve, that was a great ride. I'm sitting at home with a beer and feet up and with a real cheezy grin - now that my thighs have finished cramping.

You weren't joking about bringing good legs. Maybe I should have brought someone elses... I thought the 666 m of total ascent an appropriately devilish number

Seriously, thanks for your friendly and caring ride hosting and I'm looking forward to getting out there again very soon. You guys have a wonderful area to ride and I can see that there has been a heck of a lot of work (and love) that's gone into building and maintaining those trails. Great trails for CV and skills training too! Sensational group of riders too - yes you too Ian

    Thanks heaps guys!

Thanks Iain for the photos, and thanks to everyone for making it an enjoyable ride in otherwise less than perfect conditions.

666m of ascent George? I suppose we did do a fair bit of climbing. I just never really think of it like that I guess.

Always feels good to show new riders what the area has to offer.

Special thanks to Damo at Cog for making us coffees and hot chocs on his day off.

Don't forget George, we didn't even ride all the singletracks, and Silvan has a lot more to offer too. We have a great ride that goes almost up to Olinda then down again, using fire trails and some singletrack, as well as showing some great scenery.

Rides from Cog Cafe are every Thursday night from 6.30.
