Dropper needed?

Hi,
Two days away before heading to NZ for two months. I will be riding Queenstown area and Rotorua. I have a dropper post on, but since I need to disassemble the bike for shipping I am wondering if I should go to a standard post.

How gnarly are the trails in each area? Will I regret swapping posts goin to a standard post?

I'd keep it, plenty of tracks which are more fun/flowy when you are free to raise lower the post at the push of a button
