    disc brake adapter question

My frame has an IS standard rear caliper mount, and my Formula RX's are post mount. CRC don't have Formula adapters but will a Shimano one do? Shouldn't be any different??

Hoping to clarify this before Patchy's CRC order goes through tonight...

I would think the bolts should not be a problem however there may be less clearance on the shimano ones for caliper clearance.
You may be able to fix this with a file or dremel - not expensive so I gues it's worth the chance
I'm going to need a shimano one soon (160mm) so if it doesn't work for you I'll buy it from you- how's that for a good solution?

it should be fine, Shimano adapters are all the same as the other brands, with the exception of their front 185mm jobbies.

Thanks for that fellers. (This is Hud on John's login) ILD I will certainly take you up on that offer if there is an issue thanks. It's only about $7 anyway. (whole lot better than $25 from the LBS...)
