Bicycle trails in Australia coast along Great Ocean Rd to Gold Coast.

Name some nice bicycle trails in Australia coast along Great Ocean Rd to Gold Coast for scenery?

Mainly paths used for commuting, off road cross country trails along the coast where there are good scenery.

I can speak about the Great Ocean road in Victoria as I have ridden the trails and done some mtb events there. Check out the trails at Anglesea - take a look on-line or go to the bike shop at Anglesea and they will be happy to direct you. Further up the GOC, there are is the great trail network at Forrest, just past Lorne. Some really great trails here. Its where they host the annual Giant Odyssey mtb event.

Mallacoota. Follow the trail at the edge of the inlet up past the boathouses. Beautiful.
    The twenty-nine inch wheel.

You do realise that you're talking about a 2000km trip? Plenty of places to stop off along the way, don't expect it to take a day or two though.
Some places to investigate though, Merimbula has Mana Park and Mandini, Tathra trails are amongst some of the most beautiful locations, a great little town. Nowra around Jervis Bay, Sydney has Menai, Manly Dam and Bantry Bay to name but a couple, north of Sydney there's Orimbah and a bunch of others. You probably need to narrow down where your trip will take you.

febe, if you are still around? ... I can give you a few east coast off-road and coastal tracks to follow and point you to the appropriate online maps and track notes, for NSW.

The Great South Coast Track from Mallacoota to Sydney is doable by bike. If you have a pack raft for the esturies and you're up on reading tide charts, then nothing is an issue. There are plenty of cycle paths to recover on, on the NSW Coast as you make your way towards Sydney ... I've been exploring the GSCT walking route for bike riding over the last several years. The GSCT route is quite exceptional.

Also many of the Coastal Shires in NSW have advised cycling routes on their websites, they are easy to find.

It is good to see that you like good views too. I only ride nowadays to see the views ... doing a long ride is a bonus, and it happens anyway.

    Some shots from the GSCT.
