I wouldn't wear a full faced helmet unless I was riding trails that required it, which I didn't find when I rode there last year. The riding I could find was doubltrack and fire road on Koh Samui. It was awesome though for what it was. Great views and STEEP climbing. I'm heading back there tomorrow for 2 weeks and will do some riding in Koh Samui and Khao Lak. I'm stoked!
Thank you Lord for strength, endurance, and salvation.

The Minburi Fishing Park can be found on Soi 28 of Mit Maitri road.

To get to Mit Matri, travel down Ramintra road (304) away from BKK, this then veers to the left and changes (un-notably) into Suwinthanwong Road. Before this road turns sharply to the right, take the Left Hand Turning on to Nimit Mai Road and (past Tesco-Lotus) do the first avaialble U-Turn, and then turn left onto Pracha Ruam Chai Road. This road changes into Mit Maitri Road, and then after a while you turn left onto Soi 28, and continue until you reach the fishing park.

To get to the off-road area, cycle along the left side of the lake, to the very end where you will see it.
