    Taiwan biking

I'm planning a trip out to Taiwan this spring. While there I'd like to do some biking. I've found some information about mountain biking in Taiwan - looks like some great stuff.

What I'd like to find is a tour company or some organization that can put together a trip that involves biking in Taiwan. I'll do road or off road - just need to be on my bike. These folks (http://www.grasshopperadventures.com...country=Taiwan) are working on a Taiwan tour, but it will not be ready when I'm there.

Anyone know of any other companies that do bike tours in Taiwan or have any suggestions for spending a week biking in Taiwan?

There is biking in TW but it's kinda minimal offroad. But there is a few places I have been. One is south of Taipai Here is a review I wrote. Use the GPS numbers to make it easy to find.

I did a race with bikeman (link below) up Alisan which is the highest peak on the Island, 3952 meters. Very scenic and I know there are tours for hiking the peak. I ran across it by googling alisan

http://www.bikeman.org is a race organizer. Might help..

I'll be there until the end of Febuary. I check here daily if you need more.

    Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately the bikeman link is not in English. Being a monoligual American, I have to confine my information gathering to sites in English.

    Hi dtownmtb,

There are some gnarly trails here in Taiwan that will blow you away! Some serious riding throughout the Central Mountain Ranges and elsewhere. I run a company called In Motion Asia which organizes MTB tours here and would be happy to help.
