    Mountain Biking around Kyoto, Japan?

    Hi folks,

Does anyone know of any trails or places to ride around Kyoto?

I have a 4-day stay in Kyoto coming up, and I'm considering taking my bike. I thought it would be a good way to tour Kyoto, and if I can also find some trails that would be icing on the cake.

    Ideas?

Don`t bother. Kyoto is nice but there isn`t anywhere to ride. If you were going to Nagano that would be another story.

Interesting -- please tell me about Nagono. How far from Tokyo? I have some flexibility -- I was just going to Kyoto to see the temples.

    Tough Luck

Nagano is know for a mountain range called the Japanese Alps. There are trails and even a few DH courses there. Unfortunately, From Kyoto to Nagano is about 300 km. A little too far to ride there.....
