Kyoto, Shiga, Japan
Hey, looking at hitting up Japan and was wondering if there are any trails in the Kyoto, Shiga area that are worth the trip?
Thanks!

I live in Tokyo, but I have just visited a titanium frame builder in Kyoto.
They ve got lots great trails there. Not high rise Alps like mountains, but some historic trails that samurais used to travel hundreds of yrs ago. Im 7 hours from Kyoto but I might ask my friend there to set you up a ride?

Thanks for the response. So the trip would be worth it from a mtb pov? Sounds like it might be pretty sweet.
I haven't figured out exactly when I might be going, but setting up a ride might be a great idea when i do.

Here are some snapshots of Kyoto when I visited there three days ago. It rsnowed about 20 inches in the northern part, but was raining in the southern part of Kyoto as I traveled in a local train.
Here is a link when I googled "Kyoto", "single track" and "photos". Hope you get a feel of what it will be like. Definitely a totally different from Texas.

Definitely not Texas, but that's ok, I'm in Korea right now.
Thanks for the link. Looks promising!
