    Cheap Shimano components in Japan?

I'm headed for Japan next week for business and was curious if a guy could possibly buy Shiman stuff deeply discounted? I know some guys buy electronics, etc. Thanks!

"Cheap" and "Japan" are not two words that typically go together. I've seen Shimano stuff in normal Tokyo bike stores and it's not particularly cheap.

A few years ago when the dollar was stronger, it was worthwhile to buy Shimano stuff in Japan. I used to buy a lot. But now that the dollar doesn't buy much yen, it's no longer a good deal. Most shops in Tokyo sell at Japan MSRP, and few will offer a discount.
May the air be filled with tires!
