I've been off my rig for a week due to work and a thrown out back and was planning on carving out some time this AM to ride.... Well, it appears as though that is out of the question. Looks like we still have quite a "haze" in the air from last nights fun little event and I don't think sucking dirt (from the air, as sucking trail dirt is a hazard of our little hobby) would be a fun ride. Need a rain to get some of this out of the air.
So who's going to hit it today?
Keep pedalin'. You can catch your breath on the downhill!
Rode this morning. Broke a rear hub. Didn't know my legs had that much power!
They don't... cheap gear. You'd better keep saving for that tandem...
I haven't been outside yet this morning but the ride home last night at about midnight was nice. Air seemed clean and the little bit of rain calmed the dust down. I was thinking today would've been the best Wed of the summer to hit the SoMo shuttles but working late I wasn't getting up early.
Went for a short ride this morning after thinking twice about it. I could see the dirt just hanging in the air. Oh well that makes four days in a row and three more days off.
This morning was very nice temps. Some humidity but i was sweating heavily anyways... did not have any dust issues down at SoMo. Hit the trails at 5.30 -- only issue was my flat i got going down javelina and all my slime shot out through puncture and never sealed back up ( left a nice puddle of milk-like mess on side of trail ) -- time to finally patch her up so i can enjoy my rides
but if i were you , since you missed the AM ride, definitly try and hit the trails tonight. You probably wont have a cooler evening ride for a while ( or until another storm rolls through )
I plan on riding some PMP this evening, about 7:30 from Dreamy Draw area. Thinking of taking T100 west, since I've been through the DD stuff a couple of time the last few weeks. Feel free to join.
Well up in the Snottsdale/FH area, we apparently didn't get the rains last night that some of the southern areas got, so we are still VERY HEAVY on dust in the air here. As such, we are in much more need of rain before we can get some better visibility and air quality.

I rode Lost dog at 124st north of Via Linda for the first time and it was humid but didnt feel like I was sucking down dust but you sure could see it. Who's doing the night ride this Saturday at the competitive loop?
Did 21 miles this morning at Mcdowell comp tracks. It stayed cool longer and the sun just started peeking when I got done around 10'ish. It was super humid though, I was completely soaked, could have done the high dive into my underwear!
Tie two birds together and though they have four wings, they cannot fly!

Same for Cave Creek. I skipped the group ride tonight because it was still lingering. Friggin dammit. Just got the single speed build up again after the move too...
PMP felt pretty good this evening. A little muggy but a fair trade for lower temps and a bit of a breeze. I dare say my ride was pleasant, at least for this time of year. I was cool enough not to blow up on the climbs and I actually made it up the washed out saddle after the Dreamy Draw tunnel for the first time ever. Of course it wasn't too washed out as it had a nice line on it. I was well stoked nonetheless. Put in a good 17 miles in a bit over 2 hours. I'd take another night like tonight any night of the week.
