Hail, homey. After a brief respite, monsoon season is back!

Ah, lower Moto was primo at 6pm tonight. But much of it becomes running water so it was probably pretty sucky riding it in the rain. Kudos for sticking it out

Hail From my ride on Mt Elden yesterday. I caught the end of the storm and didn't get too wet. What do Flagstaff natives wear when you get caught in a storm? Some sort of poncho or do you suck it up and ride wet?

I can't speak for anyone but myself but I always carry a rain jacket in the pack. Hardly ever need it -- but when you do you're glad to have it.

This is the one I usually carry:
PreCip Jacket | Marmot Clothing and Equipment

    db. thanks for that.

here is what I carry , when I remember to bring it...
Amazon.com: Frogg Toggs FTP1714-04 Action Poncho: Sports & Outdoors

its VERY light... but too bulky to have in my pack all the time.

Thanks for the tips on wet weather riding gear. I seem to only get out of Phoenix for rides up north during monsoon season, and the clouds are usually building by the time I get going. My pack is well stocked with tools and food, but I've never needed rain gear in Phoenix.

don't mean to one-up you, db, but i've had a couple marmot precip jackets over the years and have found the marmot paclite to be superior in every way.

    GORE-TEX® Paclite® | Marmot Clothing and Equipment

also, proven to be a sure-fire rain-maker. just leave it at home when you're headed out... sure to rain. can't say the precip ever had this sort of magic.

Thanks, rc. I'll check into that since my Marmot is getting older and may need replacing in a few years.
