Where did you ride today, Aug 26?

I drug my ass out of bed and rode out of the driveway at 4:30AM on the button, got a nice ride in, always glad afterwards, it's just so hard to get out that early. I rode over to Dreamy Draw parking lot and met my neighborhood group then rode with them.

Just one light today, but soon I'll be bring all my candlepower.

I ran into JDPowers this morning rocking on his SS. So what did you ride this morning?

36 sweet canal miles on the road bike. Terrible headwind heading east.
I think I'm not as good as I thought.

Today and yesterday 50 year trail with the chutes.

weather has been nice and cool with the clouds and a few light rain drops. The trail was nice and firm only a few people out.

skinny line is single track, thick line is jeep trail.

I have eschewed the canal the past few months in favor or riding over in PV to get some hills, but I swear whenever I ride the canal and it is a headwind on the way out - I think to myself that it will be nice to get the wind at my back on the way home. But I swear I end up with a headwind on the way out and the way back!

Look for me out trail running tomorrow AM. I'm going to go from the 7th Ave start of T100 and head towards the Visitor Center, then return. I'll be in obnoxious red/orange shoes and a light blue shirt.

You can ride 20+ miles but only run a couple? I don't know if I could make that run. I'll keep an eye open for you...

haha, yeah, sad but true. I used to run quite a lot years ago... biking muscles and running muscles are very different. No intentions here of doing massive trail running, just once a week for a little cross training.

I've never run much. Never cared for it. I'm usually good for a little more than a mile running the dane around my neighborhood. The knees don't like much more than that.

Braved the crazy wild streets of Phoenix to ride to work on the road bike.

We ran once from the 7th St. trailhead all the way to Tatum in the middle of the night.
Was a fun run, except where it got a little dodgey going through the crowded Dreamy Draw area... if you get my drift.

Ahh some one saw that, good eye randyharris... The ride its self is only at 3200 ft, 50 year trail is right in the foothills of the western side Santa Catalina mountains and they rise to over 8000 ft very abruptly. I had the mouse pointer over a bit out of the way of the screen shot, so that's why the it shows that 5242 elevation.

Did a clockwise loop around Piestewa Peak this afternoon from Tatum TH, nice temps. Hard to say which was the best part since I enjoyed the entire ride. But the entire length of Zipper was reeeally nice! 302 in this direction is also great, thanks to a suggestion in another thread.
