MMP and 4 Peaks Racing is organizing a trail work day out on the race course in the next few weeks. 4 Peaks will also be offering discounts on the race entry fee to those who come out and pitch in.

    Stay tuned for more details.

If you're doing endurance races for the prizes, you're in the wrong sport.

Looking forward to this one again this year! Always a good time. I was wanting to do the 24 hour, but my fitness level is telling me that I should do the 12 hour.

Most other 12/24 hour events like this just give medals, pint glasses or ribbons to top finishers. I think the prizes & cash that 4 Peaks gives out is pretty darn good.

Alan_S has organized a trail work day on the race course.

    Date: 10/6/12
    Time: 7:00 AM
Where: Meet by the restrooms in the Comp Loop Parking Lot

If you can, bring work gloves, shovel, hoe, pick or other tools. The park will have some tools available for everyone to use. Be sure to bring the H2O and nutrition that you will need.

4 Peaks Racing will be giving a discount code to everyone that helps out for 4 or more hours.

Great event. I will never be "in the money", but still like the event!! As someone else said, if you are doing endurance events for the $$...you need to double check your accounting....

    Night Riding

We will be down in the Valley this weekend and plan on doing some laps out there on the course on Saturday. We want to do a night lap to try and dial in our night vision. I remember reading somewhere that the trails were now open later on weekends.

Does anyone know if they still allowing trail use after sundown?

The course was fast & fun when we were down there a few weeks ago. But, the backside of the trail on the ridge was a lot rougher that I remember from last year.

I know there was some trail maint done out there recently and thanks to all those involved. What areas were worked on?

Sounds like it was a good time. I also flipped over to Tyler's blog-really proud of your kid Marty! He seems to be doing really well and kudos to you for aiding/allowing/fostering that type of behaviour!
