    We the people ... Trail Work at MMP Pemberton Trail, Sat 11/23/13

    They are having a trail work day out at McDowell Mountain Park this Sat, 11/23/13 from 7 AM - 11 AM.

    Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area at 7:00 AM. Bring H2O, work gloves and any trail work tools you have. The park will also have tools for volunteers to use.

    If you do not have a park pass, let the host know you are there for trail work and you can enter the park for free.

    Areas to to worked on: repair erosion damage on Pemberton, fixing a few off-camber turns, and adding a few bridges to steep wash areas.

    It is still a go. The park will see how much it rains on Friday and then re-check Sat's forecast then.

    What are the plans for the steep wash areas? Do you mean the long beach sand like wash just before the end or beginning depending on the direction of travel?

    Trailwork Canceled Due to Rain

    The trail work for tomorrow has been canceled due to rain. They are re-scheduling it for Dec 7th.

    The steep wash areas that they are going to build bridges (like the one on Pemberton after you cross the NW road going CW) across are on Lariat and Chaparosa. They are deep v like sections.
