Not exactly, but not too far from where the owner of Late For The Train made his donation many moons ago.

A couple of photos from today's ride.....Black Canyon Trail Emery Henderson area. I bought the wrong water at CVS (a gallon of "Purified Water") which tasted awful, so I had to turn back. I thought "purified water" was the same as spring water, but it tasted really bad. Guess I won't make that mistake again.

Look out at the top of Spruce Mtn.

    The view from inside.

A few pics from Flag over Memorial Day. Conditions and temps were great, and the mountains seemed deserted for a long weekend

Someone forgot to pay attention in chemistry class...

Spring water has dissolved ions such as Na^+, K+, Mg^2+, Cl^-, SO4^2- that naturally occur in the aquifer underground, since the water is exposed to rocks which contain these ions. These are what some people call "minerals" (that's why it is sometimes called "mineral water"). It is actually the presence of these ions in spring water that people like the taste of. Purified water (whether distilled or deionized) purposely takes out these ions. Usually purified water is used for things like baby formula, radiators, fish tanks, chemistry labs, etc., places where you don't want added minerals. Desnati bottled water is just purified water that has ADDED minerals to make it taste better. Apparently, most people do not like the taste of REALLY pure water.

Now, you may put your books away continue with your day....

Thanks the info. Nice to know that I was drinking water that is meant for baby formula, radiators, fish tanks and chemistry labs.
