for those of you who dont get unholy wicked farts from powerbars...

and even if you do, who cares. as long as you're the fastest rider in the group you don't have to worry about it.

Fry's has powerbars on sale this week for $.99 each, and when you buy in groups of 10, you get an additional instant $5 discount (no limit), making them only $.49 each
this includes the harvest energy and triple-threat high-protein versions that are usually excluded from most sales.
for the less discerning palette, it does of course include the regular versions texture-inspired by dried gum pulled off the bottom of a stable-worker's boot.

i think we're past the time of year where any bar will become a gooey mess within minutes, so if you eat 'em, this week is a good time to stock up for the next 5 months.

I have Fry's right near home. I need to check that out. I am more of clif bar guy, but if it covers the super dense protein bars I am in.

    Thanks for the heads up.

BTW... Farts on the climbs are like rocket power.

Have you ever tried farting while on a fixed-gear bike? It is impossible.

80 protein and harvest bars for $38. Wife's eyes got wide, beads of sweat, panting, headlights on...she wants to do it again tomorrow.

Mike- we need to ride until we almost die, drink a beer, ride some more and drink some more beer. I will host in NW Phx if you host in your neck of the woods. The humor, the trails, the wierdness would all rock.
