    12. Dirdir's dry wit (or what used to be...lately he's been a bore - we need him back). Walt has tried to fill in the void but to no avail. Walt isn't Dirdir.

    • The drama!
    • The huge range of riders and enduring friendships I'd have never met had it not been for this forum.
    • Super-sekret tech tips, like putting glitter in your homemade tubeless goop and how to replace the Reba's air cart with a spring
    • The lurkers. Really. I've met SO MANY F66 lurkers out on the trail, and it's hilarious to hear them recount threads like they're old-timers. If there's an active posting population in here in the high dozens, there's a shadow readership out there in the thousands.
    • Did I mention the drama?

    42. Constant misuse of the reference to "Doubles" when describing jumps that cannot
    possibly be ridden so as to actually successfully jump off of each of the two jumps.

    Do you know what a "double" really is? (I do)

    Where did this term for jump design originate? (I know)

    Doubles = more than one double

    Double the most common form of Dirt jumps. This consists of two separate earthworks, one acting as a takeoff(lip), and the other as a landing. Also known as a "gap" jump. They can be "Step-Ups", where the jump's upramp is lower than the down ramp or "Step-Downs", where the jump's downramp is lower than the upramp.

    Close, but wrong.

    Why? Because you didn't seek the answer for the second question. Find that answer and
    you'll know the truth. Then, you can begin to correctly reference the use of "doubles".

    Good luck. Let me know if you need help.

    Ok - a contribution from a regular lurker and occasional poster in the UK;

    73) Visitor sticky - totally rocks and good for an entire trip planning exercise
    74) Met up with some great folks and been shown how to ride rock by people with awesome riding skills and giant cahunas
    75) epicriders mapping service - simply the best
    76) AZSF - that has gotta be done again
    77) Trail pics and ride reports - happy memories on dark cold winter days and inspiration for another visit
    78) Techtips - some useful stuff, eg the recent toobless thread
    79) An invitation to DurtGurl's hot tub
    80) Had the hurt applied by some amazingly accomplished female riders

    Hmmmmm....on reflection had better amend my contribtuion;

    73) Visitor sticky - totally rocks and good for an entire trip planning exercise
    74) Met up with some great folks and been shown how to ride rock by people with awesome riding skills and giant cahunas/cojones*
    75) epicriders mapping service - simply the best

    81) Just gotta love how you get mercilless ribbing if not fully fluent in 'Meracain

    * Delete to preference

    Just out of interest I googled that and came up with this entry in the "Urban Dictionary", apparently based in San Francisco (but not exactly definitive!)

    cahunas 1. a slang for testicles, but actually referring to an overly confident attitude. gender neutral.
