    TGIF photos 5.31.2013

I rented a BIG lens from Tempe Camera for the weekend...

....then talked some friends into being the Talent for last Friday's full moon.

    NoelG on the bike:

The night after the full moon was better for the silhouette shots I was after...

Stay tuned for next month's big lens moon shoot... Lots of lessons learned this time.

Inspiring as always KK, keep up the phenomenal work!!

Here's my sampling from this past weekend's adventure up on the Kaibab.

Chris & Kurt during a quick snack break early on.

Sweet sections of forested singletrack along the Rainbow Rim trail.

Some trails have really good views

I managed a smile even though I was thoroughly whooped, thankfully the picture taker gave me some gatorade & a granola bar for the next 30 mile push.

    Kaibab squirrel

    North Rim lookout tower.

This is why you need to ride the AZT north of the Grand Canyon

MarkPHX at the east rim overlook.

Burn area & the red cliffs of Utah in the waning light.

John, Your attached pictures always come up scrunched into a 1" wide picture on my screen for some reason. I dont get this with anyone else. Sucks because you always have such good shots. Anyone else get this? Here is what I see.

I also get scrunched photos from John on my work Dell computer (but not on my home iMac). John, when you attach the photos using a URL, do you unclick the box for "retrieve remote file and reference locally"? If you don't unclick it.... do!

A few pics from a recent ride in Sedona. A couple of friends flew out from CT to ride our stuff. They did not go home disappointed.

    Good job!

I'm off the bike for a few more weeks to give my knees a break, but that did not keep from from the Flagstaff trails over the weekend. Here's a shot a of short hike with my boy by the Schultz Tank.

Douger, DurtGirl, thanks for the heads up on the crappy pic views. One of my co-workers has been experiencing the same thing & we couldn't figure out why his looked skinny and my computer looked normal. I'll try another pic here with the box unchecked.

**EDIT - it ended up not being the checkbox afterall, it was because I was adding the album link from Picasa at the bottom of the image, I just need to remember to check that box in Picasa when posting. Thanks again for the headsup. I'll now go back over every image I ever posted & correct the issue.

A couple of images from Waterline Road and the Inner Basin. Waterline Road is now *officially* open (although folks have been using it for some time) and all the barricades have been removed. There is still some work going on so it's best to ride it on weekends. It's a stark landscape up there but there is also a lot of new growth on the hillsides. The road bed has been covered in a fresh layer of crushed stone.

Should had one of the bikers do a big jump in front of the moon for the "ET" moment.

^^Thanks for stopping by yesterday. I almost felt like I was in a post-ride chill-out sesh. I'll take what I can get!

A old self pic of the suffering I dearly miss, on my way to Patagonia from PCL. Yeah, it was about 95 degrees. Some do that section in 5 hours. What's the hurry? We made it two days.

Don't let this Dag Nabbit character fool you, I stopped by to shoot the breeze & down a cold one or two and he wasn't even home!! Out cruising the neighborhood....on crutches!! Core. ;P

I think Jay is snickering at your suffering in that pic. I'm betting the next time to ride the Canelos it won't take you 18 hours!!

Sorry such lame pics but I was just trying to catch up before he was gone. First time I've seen one outside of the zoo. He definitely looked like he could use a meal. Watch those children and pets!

Hey, I gotta get out sometime! At least I know what house arrest feels like, mostly...

He brought a machete for fun, and that was my motivation to keep moving. He wasnt' too happy at times. Luckily he was so toasted, I don't think he could have lifted it!
