Tempe near ASU - place to shower

    Hey all,
I'm looking for a place near my new office to get cleaned up. I know about Bicycle Cellar, but they would only sell me an annual membership which is pretty steep for 1x a week and no need for storage (cool facility, otherwise...). I can keep my bike and stuff at work. Suggestions appreciated.

    Salvation Army?
Once the public pools open you will be able to use those.
Contact Tempe Bike and see what they have to say.
Maybe Mission Palms can hook you up.

    Call ASU also.
If there are any RV parks nearby they also have showers. (One near McClintock and Apache)

The basic membership at Bike Cellar is $168 annually. So if you ride once a week you're paying just over $3.23 a week to take a shower. Throw in towel service you at about $4 a week. You also get %10 off retail and parts orders and it's a cool place. Other benefits are a safe place to keep your bike if you go on a Tempe happy hour after work with 24 hour key card access. You got to pay to play mang.

Free showers on ASU campus are hard to come by. There are a couple that can be poached, but they are not reliable and sometimes close when school is out of session. You'd probably be busted for trespassing too unless you're affiliated somehow.

You could take a dip in Town Lake to freshen up too...

CB-not sure what your work enviroment is (ie-suit and tie or casual etc) but most of my work when I was bike commuting mine was sales type stuff. I kept baby wipes, axe body spray and towel/washcloth and soap at work. I could get pretty clean in the bathroom (a one holer so I had some privacy) with that stuff.

My new gig will have me in hospitals and clinics and I can bring my bike with me. I need to figure something out whether its a camp shower, use facility I am working at that day or LA Fitness gym membership etc. So this is a good topic!

There's one at Dorsey and University. Monthly fees are about $10.
Today's the day I eat bikes.

Tempe near ASU - place to shower

Be sure to ask (politely) for your company to install a shower. Mention the obvious and numerous benefits.

I asked and they said yes. We have a great shower room now.
