    Step 2 - Climb Molas pass

    Not easy, but not too bad.

    Step 3- views for days

    Still smiling

    Step 4 - Keep climbing

    Still Smiling despite some snow

    Step 5- Climb some more.

    At 12k feet here only 500 more to the top in .9 miles. How bad could it be

    Now it is getting real.

    Seems like everyone else chose a differnt path after I went sledding down the mtn

    Step 7 Yeah last big high point 12k feet

    (yeah right)

    Overall 88 miles 9k climbing and 2 1/2 days "Casual pace".

    I backpacked from Molas Pass to Durango a few years ago. It took me a lot longer, and I wish I was on a bike, but man was it beautiful!

    How awesome was the ride down from Kennebec pass?

    We had to bypass the CT before that due Fire closures. So we went down Hermosa instead.
