Not looking for a tour...thanks, just wondering if anyone actually knows if the trails are going to be clear, or if it is another show up for opening day, buy a ticket and open our trails for us. Thank you

Without work, I would be surprised if chutes and ladders will even be rideable. It was falling apart bad on the last day last season. It sure would be nice if there was some trail maintenance done

There was still a few snow drifts on a number of the runs when I drove by yesterday. There will still be a few wet spots next week

    Good Luck

Checked the website...says they're gonna be open. Got a call into the marketing department...no answer. We're headed up no matter what...

A little off topic here but what are the trails like at Sunrise? I will be up in the White Mountains this weekend and would be interested in doing some riding there. Are they all extreme downhill or would I be able to have some fun with my bike (Hardtail 29er, no armor other than a helmet). I know I can rent a bike and equipment but don't want to spend that kind of cash this time.

Primitive is the best word i could use to describe sunrise. Could really benefit from some tree removal. Seems like every really good turn has a tree standing on the inside of the apex that prevents you from leaning into the turn.

From what I hear there are great xc trails in the area so I would skip Sunrise, your bike would not be very fun on the trails there. For the most part the trails on the ski area are steep and eroded out pretty heavily.

Check out Los Burros in Pinetop area...will be much more fun on a 29er than Sunrise would be.

Thanks, after posting this I went and found routes for Los Burros and Panorama trails. Will probably hit up one of those. Los Burros looks better but its also further from where I am staying.

Yardsale, Fungus, and 1 other (the main run under the lift) were marked as open. The others needed a lil maintenance and snow to melt in order to open, it appeared.

Still lots of snow puddles around, but I think that just made things a lil bit more interesting.

    I'm ready to go back

Based on the feedback of those that went to Snow Summit, it might be worth the extra hour drive.
