    South Mountain Trail Work Events

    There are three upcoming trail events at South Mountain.

    This is a physical activity requiring certain health and safety
    considerations. Please be aware of your personal physical condition, wear
    appropriate attire, such as long sleeves, sun screen and hat if you are sun
    sensitive, gloves and sturdy footwear. DON'T FORGET WATER.

    Date: Sunday, March 18th
    Time/Location: 8:30am @ Desert Foothills Parking lot
    Directions: Go west on Chandler Blvd in Ahwatukee. Turn right (north) on
    Desert Foothills Pkwy. Go past 9th St. Parking lot to trail is on the
    right. If possible, car pool since the lot often fills up. Also, 7th St on
    the left just past the parking lot is residential and has some street
    parking.
    Type of Work: Basic trail maintenance on Desert Classic

    Date: Sunday, March 25th
    Time/Location: 8:30am @ Desert Foothills Parking lot
    Directions: Go west on Chandler Blvd in Ahwatukee. Turn right (north) on
    Desert Foothills Pkwy. Go past 9th St. Parking lot to trail is on the
    right. If possible, car pool since the lot often fills up. Also, 7th St on
    the left just past the parking lot is residential and has some street
    parking.
    Type of Work: Basic trail maintenance on Desert Classic

    Date: Sunday, April 1st
    Time/Location: 7:00am @ Pima Canyon Trailhead Parking lot (meet by rest
    rooms). A van will shuttle us down the dirt section of Pima Canyon Road.
    No 1.2 mile walk!
    Directions: From I-10, exit at Elliot Road and head west. At 48th St., turn
    right (north). Watch for La Mirada Way. The next left is the continuation
    of 48th St. and will take you to the entrance to E Pima Canyon Road. If you
    end up on Guadalupe Rd, you missed the turn past La Mirada onto 48th St.
    Turn left on Pima Canyon Rd and follow to the end and park.
    Type of Work: Basic trail maintenance on Morman

    I'm in...

    I just don't know if it will be 3/25 or 4/1 - I must consult with the mountain bike gods. (It is always a good idea to consult with the gods of the mountains before making a trail related decision.)

    probably not the right person to ask, but can you sign off for trail maintenence for MBAA?

    Yes, Scott can sign off for the trail work you complete = 30 points!! He is on the MBAA Board of Directors.

    By the way, I'm in for the 4/1 trail work, Scott.
