    Some Moab stoke .........Captain Ahab

This is a captain ahab video from our recent moab trip. Most already know but for others this is a recently opened BLM approved technical trail. Lots of fun and tech for those looking . We had already rode 16 miles prior to this so we were just about wiped out . Can't wait to ride it again and next time we'll just ride ahab vs riding up Amasa back to pothole arch to rockstacker back to Amasa to ahab upper/lower and back to amasa to finish . There is a longer version on my youtube channel . Enjoy

Indeed. Here is some video of the folks involved in building it.

I want to be there now. Great video. Thanks for posting.

So a group of my friends are trying to make it an annual thing to meet up yearly and do a week long camping biking trip. Is it safe to assume that there is a weeks worth I riding in Moab? Thanks again.

Absolutely, but you're also a couple hours from Fruita.

There are a tons of trails in the Moab and Fruita area - you can make a two week vacation and never get bored - heck some of the trails are so much fun that can ride them over and over and make a day of it.
I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

Re: Some Moab stoke .........Captain Ahab

Moab has tons of trails to last a couple days at least. I'd suggest after that heading over to Grand Junction and riding Holy Cross. Then continuing on to Crested Butte. That way you get some serious variety. After that its a 12 hour ride home. Fruita didn't impress me as much as it does everyone else. Maybe it's because it just seems like riding around here only with better views.

Really digging the angle/camera FOV, etc.

Great job capturing the trail, keeping the angles dialed (so we are not all leaning back at our desk trying to look up trail), and getting good context in the video.

I have tried the chesty, helmet mount, etc. Seems like your setup is a great one with the least compromises for a purely POV vid.

Guessing 960 with 170 degree POV, helmet mounted, go pro?

Need to start looking for available time off in October/November for this one.

Clockwork has about the only helmet mount I can stand to watch. He's certainly got it dialed...
