A longhorn big sheep just about took out a rider as he did the high-speed drop on the Sunday race in front of the radar spot. We saw some sheep scampering around the mtn on Sat which was pretty cool. My cowdog herd did well back at camp in the parking lot. Good times Bootleg is an amazing place and I can't wait to go back.

Carmen also has some cool shots - I hope she posts them up.

Andy - thanks for your photos! We had contemplated taking the high line at your photo spot for the non-pro DH race. Wish I'd done it now!

Re: race times... I feel pretty good for my slow 3rd-place time considering that I rag-dolled twice on Snakeback and then had to come to a complete stop for a third time to reattach my glasses. I think it's better to start way at the bottom and work my way up Looks like the old ladies class will be competative in the future! BTW, our own Supermoto (Carmen) won even tho she got buzzed by an expert guy racer that they sent down right after her and she had to also come to a complete stop to let him by. This was the guy that got almost hit by the bighorned sheep - they let him have a 2nd run which was really cool.

These women rock! The dude in black rolling (not dropping!)) is only there because the three women here gave me just enough grief and encouragement to get me over the edge. And they made the whole trail look like butter.
    Thank again, ladies.

It was our pleasure! Good to meet and ride with you and your brother. Hope to see you next time. BTW, the other two ladies taught me everything I know about this DH thing. They are fantastic teachers.

my pix arent as good as DG's but here are a few. The race was a blast, but we had the most fun riding some of the other DH trails, Armageddon, Diva, Ona Lee, lower snakeback, and jumped on G string for the fun of it too. Bootleg is "the other BC" and it is so cool that Francine is keeping the race scene alive. Nice meeting Aeolian (and brother Han) Solo. When do we get to go again??
