so who else missed a ride?

so I wante to be able to get out to the vail/tucson trail this morning but I knew I would be too late since I had to drop my wife off at school at 8:40 this morning. so instead I decided to hit up the 50 year ride since in the description it said they were mostly just doing rolling sections with some technical stuff. but my wife ran late for school and I forgot my camel back so I have now missed out on both rides.

So did any one else miss out on the rides this morning?

bummer dood! That's gotta be a little irratating. Better luck tomorrow!

Myself, I'm in the office today and tomorrow. But sitting on the helipad on SoMo this morning when it was just beginning to get light out, was rather satisfying.

Yes! I'm snowed in at work here (Tempe) so I couldn't break free for the Milagrosa ride. Very disappointing.

In other news, my dead-sexy RIP9 is fully operational and survived its shakeout ride at SoMo this AM. I think we're going to get along swimmingly.

same here...work (arrrghhh) is keeping me from playing. I would have no problem taking off work except for these nuisance 'hot' deadline jobs that all seem to want everything FRIDAY!!!

I was hoping to join in on the SoMo fun for that day, but it is looking slim...damn, i'm whining again...

Yes, we all seem to be very "busy" today at "work". I'm so busy I've only been able to post 2 times so far this morning.

somo is short for south mountain in phoenix.

during the weekends, however, it becomes zoomo cuz a zoo of bikers, runners, hikers, strollers, dogs, horses, etc etc etc flock the trails.

Thanks for the missed-ride-depression support group post!

I too am dealing with the personal sadness of missed rides. I planned on hitting Millie today, but work got in the way this morning such that I arrived too late for the shuttle. I was banking on them running late since I didn't know anyone's cell number.

In retrospect I should have diverted to 50yr as it is closer to my house.

But at least I'm being responsible and getting work done...

I WILL make the SoMo ride tomorrow! Just have to remember not to check the work vmail/email before I leave...

I am totally depressed. I have had the AZSF week blocked off on my calendar for months and came down with a bad case of the crud early this week. It looks like I am out for the duration. The spouse headed out for the 50 yr trail ride this morning so at least one of us showed for this year's fling.

I wouldn't let a little thing like missing the group stop me from riding if I had the day off, had my bike, and was in Tucson. Go ride man! I give you permission to be free.

Sheeesh. You're killing me here. Do I have to do everything?

I was out doing field work Tuesday to through today. It was "tough" mapping in Aravaipa Canyon but I still would have liked to hit up some of the rides.

Well, continued depression. I was all hooked up to do the SoMo ride today. And in the middle of the night my body decided to get sick. Fever, spewing, etc. Just now feeling human again.

    Dang it!
