If that's true, that's kind of funny. That was Rage's original location years ago.

I heard that they relocated to a slightly smaller space in the same center. I think their new spot will be on the 48th Street side of the same shopping center.

The change will be nice...good for the Gnar Junkies who break stuff don't have to drive around the mountain to get parts now. Plus closer to airport and AZ Grand which are target areas for Cacti's winter tour business. It'll work good for me cause I won't be tempted to go spend more $$$ on the way home I will miss convience of walking home after dropping bike off. Well...it'll be just a little further now...Good luck on your new home Cactus!!!

The Cactus shop at the Sant Tan Mall is also closed down. I went there last week and found it had vanished.

Weird, was in there last week and noticed that they had a 30% sale on. Strange they wouldnt have said anything about moving. Maybe they dont want my 29er business

I saw the 30% sale thing too, but was told they were moving to 48th St and Broadway. I think you may be onto something about the 29er angle.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) the average gas mileage for new vehicles sold in the United States has gone from 23.1 miles per gallon (mpg) in 1980 to 24.7 mpg in 2004. This represents a paltry increase of slightly less than 7% over the 25 year period.

I remember when cactus moved from the Piedmont location a few years ago. I dropped my bike off for maintenance and went to pick it up the next week and the store was completely empty with no trace of anyone. I was totally confused, and no one mentioned anything about the move. funny stuff.
They move like ninjas in the night.

Probably a good time to get out of that shopping center - as with Walgreens gone, etc the foot traffic will be dropping off quite a bit.

Were they not getting a lot of business from the Cactus Jack's regulars?

I live on 24th street and Baseline and I keep hoping for a bike shop to open up here in one of the many new retail locations that are available. I love the guys at the Pig, but its a bit of a drive. With all the roadies cruising through the hood and all the mountain bikers I see coming off Mormon and Geronimo I'd think something on this side of the mountain would be sustainable.

Great shop! Only open between noon and 1 pm. The rest of the day he is out eating at some restaurant.

This sucks because I have a friend coming in from out of the country and was going to rent a bike from there. Anyone have an ETA on reopening? My mediums won't fit him.

I'm sad cactus is moving.
I remember fondly Rage in that shopping center. During the height of the mountain bike "craze".
Why the hell did Walgreens build a new store right next door to the old one. It's just silly to me.

on a non-related note (but back on topic), still no cactus?

Not per se...but there is one location open under new ownership. However its only one of the shops and it has no ties with the old cactus except location and name.
Btw its the chandler shop thats open ..

No the chandle location has a new owner it is no longer owned by Brian which owned the other locations.
I myself and pissed at them but have gotten over it mostly. I had a couple items in for work and I lost one to them during the deal. The owner of the tukee location has failed to even reply to emails/messages/or calls. Very Shady IMO
