The traditional weekend for the Quad is the weekend between the NFL Championship Games and the Super Bowl. For 2013, this is January 26/27, so we'll plan on Saturday, Jan. 26th!
Note that the AES Antelope Peak Challenge is on Sat, Feb. 2nd, so no conflict this year!!
Deanna and I are going to up the hospitality this year...kind of like when I was injured two years ago. We're not going to ride; rather, we'll "host", with an "aid" stop at the bottom of Sunrise, and some refreshments and goodies post-race.
More details to follow, but in the meantime, search for "Quadruple Bypass" in the thread titles in the AZ forum, and you'll find droves of info.
What is the plan to deal with the Hidden Hills gate now that they have closed access through their little exclusive community?
Something like: Take the horse path under the road to the old dirt road and HAB up into a different neighborhood to Eagle Ridge Drive, and over to the dirt road that connects to Sonoran.
Yikes, that's pretty harsh. But I'd say effective ;o)
On more levels than the obvious.
The residents of Hidden Hills will never notice the two-wheeled rebels invading their land, because the fixation will be on the drunk guy running backwards giving himself a Nipple Gripple.
Perfect!

Can't decide if I want to participate in the ride or just hang out at Hidden Hills. Either way I'm putting this one on my calendar.

Come for either, or a combination of both! That's what's great about the Quad- it can be anything you want to make it. We'll have fun and support from start to finish, with food and beer at all.

I've been thinking of this for the last 2 years...maybe this could be the year.
Lets do it Bob. I always seem to find an excuse to not participate in this adventure, maybe this is the one. Can you install one of these on your shuttle van to open the Hidden Hills gate for us?
And as pictured, please ferociously wield a slice of pizza. You gotta let HH residents know you're serious
That's the weapon of choice to point at the N, Scottsdale women. They run screaming if you flash carbs' of any kind. Chicken wings, and hell, they fall straight into a dead faint.

Will the "Quad Bird's Nest" be located at a good bail-out point? I'm not manly-man enough to finish, but a double (I think that's what it would be? Sorry not familiar with the route or trails) along with post game refreshments would be a killer day for me. Singlespeed just might kill me even before that anyways but it'll give me somethin to shoot for.
