Roll Call: Bootleg Screamin Santa Double Down race

Who's in for the Bootleg race Dec 19-20? I'm hoping to be there for Friday practice and then Sat SD and Sun DH races. Both are 2-run format this time!

Details are being updated on the Nevada forum: Screamin' Santa Double Down

Not sure of my travel arrangements yet... seems like the parking lot will be awfully cold for camping. Anyone know of a hotel in Boulder City that allows dogs?

I believe that the El RANCHO accepts dogs for an exytra fee....

I work that weekend and if I figure a way to switch weekends It would be a last minute thing and I would end up camping or crashing someone's room hopefully!!
.Hoog just texted me and said it's "Surface area to G2 tangential force vector ratio optimization. "

I'm sorry, those two statements don't really go together...

I can try to calculate how much gas would be.

It's 290 miles from my house in Ahwatukee to Bootleg so round up to 300 each way with side trips etc. Estimate gas at $2.80/gal. Your van ~ $168 round trip. My 4Runner ~ $93 round trip. Steve-o's van ~ $120.

    Thanks.

Well, at least with mine, you can subtract renting a hotel room.
    That's what, $60? So, about $100.

Congrats! Graduation is a must-do, especially if Mom and Dad footed the education bill. You can join the next Bootleg race - DAM COLD DOWNHILL, January 16-17.

I'll be going as long as I get the time off work. I put in for it a week and a half ago, and brought it to my boss's attention last week. As long as no one else asked for the same time off, I should get it.
Now I DRIVE the short bus!!

Ok kiddos, news is out that the January Bootleg race is cancelled, which is very much understood considering Crash's recent diagnosis. Really stinks to hear this news about Crash and we all wish him the best. So, if you were putting off racing the Dec event because you were going to go in January, then maybe you better rethink your pre-xmas schedule!!!

I'm pretty sure Steve-o is still planning on it, so fill up that van.

Women... I'd love to have more competators than just Naked Girl and Nancy from SoCal. Carmen? Stephanie on your new Highline? Resa? SuLing? Donna? The gal from Sedona I met once at SoMo shuttles but already forgot your name?

I'm likely going to head out Thurs evening for Friday DH practice, Sat SD race, then head back Sunday after the DH races.

I'd look awfully silly walking down the DH course!

    I don't think I'm quite ready for that ...

Durtgurl, if I don't go with Steve-O I plan on bringing my truck so we can get additional shuttles in if they allow it.

You could do the superD which is definitely well within your current skillset. Also, there are really great XC trails around the mtn. You don't have to do DH to have fun at Bootleg!

ok...so lets get a head count and fill up the van!!!!!!!! Show are support for Crash, and DOMANATE the hill with Az podiums....Zodium's

SO, this is how it will work for the van, $80 bucks gets you a spot in the van to & from Bootleg/Vegas and a warm place to sleep with showers and no driving

Depending on the group that fills the van...people that wanna do both races er just one,
we can leave early Friday AM or Friday afternoon...just NO LATER than 4pm. then on Sunday after the DH awards we leave, usually back in town 10pm-midnight for all the Monday workers.

To confirm a spot all you need to do is email me @ smokenspokes@yahoo.com
I would like to have a head count no later than Friday 11th. As of now there are 9 spots open.

DG you know you want in on this, and we do need a lady to thin out the boys on this trip...plenty of room for the dogs..

I will need a head count no latter than Friday 11th.

It sure was a long drive all by my lonesome to and from the last race. Hmmmm...

One dog is super friendly and the other will keep the misbehavers in line
