Recommended 26" tire for AZ single track.

What tire is everyone running and recommending for fast Single Track here in AZ? Ride mostly FINS and similar terrain/trails.

It's been a couple of years since I've ridden and just picked up a new bike this week to get back into it, I really liked the Tioga Psycho Genius tire when I was riding heavily just curious if anything new is out and recommended?

My riding style was always fast and loved to rail corners so side grip is very important.

Maxxis IKON 2.35 front, 2.2 rear. Still available in 26" in multiple configurations (tubeless, different compounds, sidewall options). 2.35 on the rear works well too, if you don't want the mismatch.

I think you will find, as did I, that for 26" tires you will mostly be relegated to mail order as LBS's don't bring in much new or higher-end, instead investing in 27.5" & 29". Not faulting them for that, it's just a fact of life in the never-ending marketing scheme that seems to define mountain biking these days.

    Good luck!

Awesome, I'll check out the IKON tires as well.

I don't mind a mismatch, I usually run a larger front than rear on my last bike.

Yea I noticed that most LBS only have "their" bike brand that they push and not much selection in 26", sucks actually but like you said all about what they are pushing through the store for sales.
