    Rattle snake season

I'm going to be down in Tucson for the next couple of weeks. I'm from Moab and the while we have snakes, I've haven't seen one in years. Mostly I'm concerned about my dog. Truth is, about this time of year she's doesn't com along for rides too often due to heat, but occasionally I will bring her along for the last hour of the day or early morning rides. Is this a terrible idea this time of year?

Yes there are snakes in Tucson.
Yes they are out in the morning, afternoon and night.
Yes they might bite your dog if it sticks it's nose in the wrong spot.
You may not see one, just like you haven't seen one in Utah, is your dog snake trained? I would venture to say no since you are concerned about it getting bitten.
Bring Fido at your own risk.

    Re: Rattle snake season

Early in the morning and as the sun is going down are probably the most common time to run into rattlesnakes. But hey, I've been in Dallas the past week and a half and these tornadoes are scaring the crap out of me. I'll gladly trade you the possibility of seeing a snake over the possibility of a tornado wiping out my hotel.
