    Prescott

    Afternoon All,
I'm coming in from NorCal to spend a week with the inlaws. Any recommendations on where I can get a Rental Full-Sus Trail Bike and good trail beta in one fell swoop in the Prescott area? I'm going to bring my gear and try to get in a late afternoon, or early morning ride. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Both Manzanita Outfitters and Ironclad Bicycles rent full sus bikes. Ironclad is close to some of the better trails in the area and will be able to steer you in the right direction. Manzanita puts a little more emphasis on customer service imo. Ironclad rents Spec bikes, if that matters. Manzanita rents Kona and some other brands. Have fun!

I went into most of the shops on my last visit and I just assumed they all had full suspension rentals? It just depends on what brand your interested in riding. I would call that particular shop and see what they have in your size. If you're interested, the local IMBA chapter is very active and have weekly rides. They have a Thursday night guys ride (TNGR) and on Sunday at 4 pm, they have an 8-80 ride where they split up into different ability groups and do 90 minute rides. I went out with the A-/B+ (fast) group on my last trip and I kept up fine.

Plastic bags of poop were sprouting like daisies on the trails around Thumb Butte over the weekend. I sure hope they got picked up by the dog walkers on their return trips, but who am I kidding. Can't wait to catch one of these lazy pet owners in the act.
