    PMP Sunday morning? NCC? Anyone?

Thinking about taking a buddy out to show him some PMP. He's a bigger fan of XC than chunk/gnar but can still get that 29er doing things that will raise eyebrows. Was thinking about a T100 on the West side starting at Dreamy Draw unless anyone wants to come and pilot the rumored hairball/302 loop. Thinking about a 7AM start time (7:30 at the latest).

I'm looking at you guys NCC!

I'm down for Hairball Sunday. I like early starts, though. 6a?

Also, I'm slow so don't expect much of a pace

We were supposed to be running Flag on Sunday, but Drew hasn't confirmed it, so I'd be good for PMP tech on Sunday. Compromise start time at 0630?

Well my buddy is going roadie hours on me with 4:30AM starts for his tour de tuscon training so I know he'll be tickled pink. I guess I can drag myself up for a ride. 6:30 sounds good. DD parking lot 6:30 Sunday morning sound like a plan? Mike, I am young and slow so I don't even have an excuse...no pace pushing from my end.

Can 29ers join your tour? Of so add two more to this ride. We will meet you in the lot. I'll be on a Orange RIP 9.

Only if you lock out your rear suspension.

Yeah, big wheels are fine as long as you're cool w/ the gnar. I'll be on a 29er, but of the hardtail variety.

Although I've not got my armor for '12 season gnaw, I'd love to catch up w/ the group. Will be near Voaz/chz/1A area around 6:45-7, and goofing @ 'til...

Since it appears we'll have a pretty large group of folks who haven't ridden w/ us before, Drew rides an orange El Guapo, Mike will be on a phlegm-colored Specialized and I'll be on a dark Canfield Yelli Screamy. Couple other of our friends will be there, too.

Dreamy Draw lot at 0630. If you haven't ridden with us before, the heckling and smack-talk will begin immediately.

Two proposed routes depending on weather, time and legs:

    1. From DD, up 100, up 1A to Irregular, up Irregular, HAB up Upper Hairball, down Upper Cheese, up and down VOAZ, back around and up Irregular again. From there, down Hairball and back to the lot. That's a tough ride.

    2. From DD, up 100 west to Zipper, west on Zipper. From there, we'll HAB to the top of Big Stupid and ride the Fatman Ridge west (super fun), drop down Fatman, up to 1A, around to Irregular, up Irregular and down Hairball. Still a tough ride, but more varied terrain and less chance of death.

I'm with you Mike, can someone tell these guys the riding season is just starting for some of us?

Guess I'm already making excuses for not making it up Irregular. Now what can I use when I walk down Hairball?

Making it up Irregular ain't a problem. It's how many times you walk and stop. I used to be able to make it from the bottom to the stairs with no problem. Now it's a chore with a break, sometimes unplanned, in the middle...

Consistent with wknd a.m.s, was not at Irregular until possibly the last 2-3 in the group were ascending. Couldn't catch whoever that might have been. Linked up w/ 2 others who broke off at the first option to (?) go over and down chz grater or wherever or to the right and down some steep, slick, drops-free gnar that dumped onto 1A adjacent to the 51. Though I missed O&S group, still a good ride on some sketchy shinola.

    QUESTION
So the group tries this what, Tuesday and Thursday p.m.? Thought I read 6:30, but dang that's still pretty toasty.
In any case, I'll try to catch O&S next time.

    Great morning, eh?

Gents, shoot me some contact info if anyone wants to get out again. Not sure what everyone's screenname is relative to who was out today. Mike, would love to see the videos and pics you snapped today, though I'm sure you'll need some time to add your editing genius to the final product.

Thanks for piloting a great ride guys.

Great video Mike. I like the slow-mo of the air during that downhill at the end there.

You guys know if Alfie is on mtbr? Thought I had his contact but turns out I don't.
