PMP-Hairball Thursday at 3 p.m.-ish, No Clue Crew ride

Grave9 and I plan on riding some form of Hairball route Thursday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.-ish.

Leaving from Dreamy Draw. We can be slightly flexible on the time if necessary, but want to leave plenty of daylight available. Our typical route for this would be DD to 100 to 1A to Irregular to Hairball. Flexible on this, too, if you want to give Upper Hairball or something else a go.

Social pace, plenty of time to session obstacles in a friendly environment.

Post up if you're interested in a ride.

I'm interested and will be there. Maybe Cenobuns can cut out of work early and grace us with his riding skills.

Would love to, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not ready for hairball clipped in.

I, um, err, hic, whoa, huh, well, yeah Photobucket
Thank you, but I'm looking to hook up with the group leaving at 4:15-4:30ish at the other side of the park. Once I get a few more lower cheesegraters undr my belt, then I will take you up on the offer. Are old school vans good for riding flats?

No worries!! Welcome anytime. I haven't rocked Vans in years but my guess would be yes. Plus you would be "retro"! Maybe we'll see you guys out there.............Drew

invest in some 5.10s, you will be glad you did sooner or later. Chainlove has been having a good selection the last few days for ~$50

...I'd like nothing better than to drop-in on Hairball this afternoon, but I can't get off work that early Looking forward to some photo/video evidence of your exploits...

Try my hours on for size: 10-7 which means 9-8 with a commute from Peoria to Tempe. When do you think I'll ever get to enjoy the fun everyone else is having?

Just after I got a new pair of SPD pedals and shoes I'm now thinking I should be getting back on flats...

I can almost clear all of Irregular up and down, but far from having any real juice for Hairball. Never on my current bike anyway. My knees shake just thinking about it, having HABed it once before. Enjoy it, weather's perfect!

If you can ride Irregular -- particularly cleaning it bottom to top -- no reason you couldn't ride Hairball. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole thing is the drop into the chute on Yuri's Folly.

Brandon, look forward to riding w/ you again.

I agree!!! I know it's November, but I think you should wear your halloween costume into work again and get fired......again.

I ride around that area a couple times a week, but it's usually a race against daylight from 5 til dark for me... Maybe when I get some days off around the holidays I can get out there in time to meet up with you all. It's been a while since I did a full hairball run.

watch out for these guys, they lack basic instincts of self-preservation.
