Pics and a vid from a great day in Flag !

It was a perfect day for it.

    SDC10903
    SDC10919

Saw lots of these little guys running around

    SDC10885
    SDC10888
    SDC10898
    SDC10914

I was at this intersection a lot yesterday

    SDC10875

    Little Gnarly
    SDC10892

Jedi was fun. Lots of logs on upper part. This obstacle was easy to clean
    SDC10904
    SDC10905

    This one was not.
    SDC10907

I thought Schultz was a fast trail until I came back on Sunset. Someone who is familliar with this trail can clock some serious speed !

Sunset Trail from Rick Gravesen on Vimeo.

On my last run down Shultz and 1-1/2 miles from the vehicle, this happened
    SDC10921

Not going to complain though. I was up there riding all day and this was my only mishap so I will still chalk it up as good times !

Skinny- I'm sorry man. I spent all day up there and I thought for sure I would crash on Jedi. I'll keep trying though, just for you !

Nice vid CB. Did that same descent down Sunrise last weekend and it's a blast. I'm gonna have to find Jedi as that sounds like a hoot too.

Hey, I came across you just after you snapped the derailleur. Hope you got that taken care of. Was this video taken just before your mechanical?

Hey Jon ! Good to hear from you. You were right- Jedi was a blast and lost burrito is hard to find !

BrokenSaddle- yeah the video was from my last run- Sunset>Schultz Creek. The 'bird is ready to fly again. Had to replace the derailleur, hanger, chain, and 5 spokes. The rim was pretty bad so they told me to not be suprised if I have to replace it soon if it doesn't hold true.

I finally found the lost burrito TH that day and proceeded to nearly break my thumb. Trail is no joke.

Hiking trail? I've been down lost burrito many times, and although the top is sketchy, that's kind of how DH trails are. Not that it's all that great up top, but the lower part is pretty damn fun.

But having doen it a few times, I'd rather come down Mary Ann or Ginger.

Um ok? Have you ridden DH trails in BC? That is not a DH trail, more like a hiking trail but whatever. It's not that sweet. If you like that kind of thing then have at it, I will pass but maybe I just suck at riding........whatever.

I don't care how good you are at DH, you will get sketchy coming down off the top of that trail. Particularly right after the thread the needle through the trees into that super steep/washed out switchback.

I agree pickle and (not sure the name of the DH trail going out past LB) are more MTB oriented than LB. LB to me seemed more like a ridiculous hiking trail than anything. Keep in mind this coming from a guy who thinks rocky ridge is better suited for hiking than bicycling.

    Y

Yeah, it's sketchy in a sucky kind of way, not a dh line at all.
