    PhotoFriday 5*10*2013

A few snaps of azorr at the Sedona Bike Festival this past weekend...

Instead of hanging with the crowd at Chavez Crossing, I headed west of Sedona to the Verde Valley for some remote dispersed camping. I was rewarded with absolute beauty!! I've finally found where to camp when heading to Sedona...

Sedona's got it together as far as light pollution... Sedona lights are to the left, VOC lights to the right. This was shot at about 1:30AM to catch the rising center of our Milky Way.

I recently lost my two older dogs, Boojum and Joopiter, to old-dog sicknesses. They died within two weeks of each other, just like the old couple who can't live without the other. But I still have the young kids, Holly and Clawdia. Camping with 2 dogs is much easier than camping with 4, but I still miss my Booj and Joops.

So do the dogs get mad at you for cooking right in front of them. I can hear them whining from here. :-)

Awe, sorry to hear about your old pals passing. Look at those youngens, they are so well mannered at dinner time. Can I send you my red for a month of training? Great shots durtgurl, especially of the milky way. Awesome.

Thanks... The key to my young dogs being good around food is that I've never given them table scraps. Compared to my older dogs who would scavenge thru my camp and any nearby camps for anything resembling food, the young pups are a joy. It's a whole different camping experience - one that I'm sure my friends will appreciate!

Great shots! Here's a few from my ride to Tom's Thumb.

My bike got tired going up East End.

I always look forward to your pics. Looks like an amazing time. I gotta take advantage of that camping next time in the red rocks.

Sorry to hear about your dogs...I've got to ACD's and can't imagine not having the hairballs bugging the snot out of me all the time. But thanks for the photo's and stoke...makes me wish I'd get the camera and the dogs out on rides more often...
The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.

Great shot!! All the green from the spring is now crispy, but I always love the saguaros' bloom before summer really sets in.

Ever see the space station fly over Phoenix? Here's what it looks like from up there. PMP is the dark patch at the upper-right.
