Rode from Fort Tuthill to Flagstaff Loop Trail and then on Rogers Lake Connector.
Took a side trip up to the Woody Mtn Lookout.

With the recent rain the new/soft sections of Rogers Lake Connector trail should be firming up. Great trail.

Was the perfect weekend to ride, sit, and say nothing... just be grateful.

    Hobbit Forest on Elden.
I've heard about that trail and it looks fun. There seems to be no "Hobbit Forest" on trailforks but there are trails called AZT Elden and MT Elden on trailforks. Where is Hobbit Forest? I've also heard "Wasabi" is a must ride, which seems to be in the same area?

Relatively new to MTB and wanting to expand my AZ riding beyond Hawes, GC and SoMo. Thanks for the post and the stoke!

Hobbit Forest is a short section of the Sunset Trail on Mt. Elden, Wasabi branches off from Sunset right there as well, but if you're 'new to MTB' you may want to stay off Wasabi for a while, or at least walk it first so that you know what you're getting into

It's the part of Sunset just beyond the Heart trail split after the catwalk section up top. Tons of fun!!

While we're at it, here's the blog blabber about that ride and another out to Rogers Lake.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be careful on Wasabi. I'm reletively new to MTBing but I do have years of moto experience, and some BMX, so usually can ride things above my actual mountain biking experience. That has gotten me in over my head a few times though. Lol!

The smoke from 150+ fires in BC have us itching for good ole AZ and the summer Monsoon. Time to head back south.
