    Trying out the new camera

I got to sample the AZT this past weekend.

Aspen aren't quite turning yet, but close.

Thanks to Fish for recently getting my Beshemoth back in good working order. Still need to get those new brake lines trimmed!

But it does seem that I'm more interested in taking pics lately than riding my bike...

Night shots were the goal of this last weekend's adventures.
    Looking south...

    Looking north...

    45 min exposure...

A few from my sunrise ride down the greenbelt yesterday.

Big eucalyptus that caught my attention.

Palm under a funky cloud layer.

The sky at the end of the ride.

I finally got to ride over Windgate Pass today, where I met some dudes and a dudette from this AZ forum, including Chollaball.

    WP gets my official approval.

This rattler was a royal b!tch, it wouldn't budge as if it owned the trail. Thanks to the hiker who pointed it out to me or I would have ridden right past it.

Finally made it up the Inner Basin Trail. Doesn't matter where on Humphey's you ride, it's all awesome.

I think we passed you? I was on a tandem w/ a grumpy hiker not far behind?

Curious jfk, how much riding did you get in pulling that trailer? Ain't like that's exactly easy riding up there. You should be in the running for DAD of the year. Very cool.

Yep, I remember the tandem. I think that might be more interesting than pulling a trailer. Did you think we were bikepacking with the trailer? I thought I heard someone in your group say "campers" as we passed each other.

About 13 miles. Honestly, my Phoenix legs would have had a lot more trouble with that, but a friend helped pull him up the hill about half way. I wish we got out more.

I think wifey thought you were pulling a BOB trailer of some sort. Perfect tandem trail really; especially when the stoker only weighs 50 pounds.

We drove up into Lockett Meadow, took the trail from there, wife hiked and I biked. I was a bit winded at first from the elevation but once I settled in I climbed quite well. There was a couple of obstacles that I couldn't clear, but otherwise pedaled everything. That last stretch of road to get up into the Inner Basin was a bit of a grind. Definitely though it was a day worth doing.
