Oops, I think I was being impulsive. With winter coming in a month it's probably best to wait and get some flats.

The Fox shoes were a good starter shoe. I was deciding if I wanted to return to flats after ~15 years on SPDs and I didn't wanna spend $300 on shoes & pedals if I wasn't gonna stay. So I got the shoes off Chainlove for $50 or $60 and a pair of cheap HT pedals off Amazon. Decided to stay so bought some 510s and Spank Spikes.

They aren't awesome, certainly no 510, but a decent pair if someone doesn't have much money.
