Tuc...where? Is this in Arizona somewhere?

(For serious, Tucson plows amazing money and effort into being a cycling-friendly city. Awesome that it got some props from Outside.)

I agree Tucson is one of the most road bike friendly cities I've been to (and lived in). Not sure I'd call it the most--that's my opinion--but easily top 10.

But I do have to question Grand Rapids at the best mt biking city.

I agree that Tucson is pretty nice but the rough roads, copious amounts of debris on said rough roads and the landscaping trucks are kind of a huge knock against it as the top of the top road biking destination.

Lemmon is really a key to Tucson's road rating. It's hard to find another mountain with such stats, 7k of vertical in 21 miles. I only wish we had good mountain biking here.

Old Spanish Way is nice, too. That whole side of town IMO.

i live at the city end of that. Most commuting days see, sometimes ride with sometimes not, large groups of roadies.

Sometimes I see pelotons that would make the french envious. Maybe not but I can hear their gears clicking and freehubs whirring as they ride by my house.

Say a bobcat on Old Spanish trail too. Plus you can ride part of it to Fantasy Island which is an awesome trail build by awesome people.

I want this week to be over now. Beer me!

I would have thought that with the all the snow birds mowing them down that there might be a safer place. How many people got taken out at that race?
and the lurker returns to the dark corner
